| Jerome
L. Kolavo, M.D. graduated from Purdue
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in
biology and received his medical degree from the
University of Illinois College of Medicine. Postgraduate
training included an internship at the University
of Illinois Hospital and a residency in orthopaedic
surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He completed
a fellowship in spinal surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St.
Luke's Medical Center and joined OAD Orthopaedics
in 1990.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic
Surgery, Dr. Kolavo specializes in spinal surgery,
including microsurgery of the lumbar and cervical
spine, reconstructive spinal surgery, and spinal
deformity surgery.
Dr. Kolavo is a fellow of the American College
of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of
Surgeons, and the International College of Surgeons.
He is an active member of the North American Spine
Society and a candidate member of the Scoliosis
Research Society. Dr. Kolavo is a clinical instructor
of orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University
Medical School and maintains medical staff privileges
at Central DuPage Hospital, Edward Hospital, and
Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital.
