| Matthew
D. Gimre, M.D. graduated from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992 with
a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
He went on to earn his medical degree from the Ohio
State University College of Medicine in 1997. Dr.
Gimre completed a three-year residency in family
practice at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois,
followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at the
Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2000.
Dr. Gimre has experience in treating athletes at
the high school, college, and professional levels.
He focuses on the injuries of physically active
patients of all ages and the return of those patients
to their desired levels of activity. His practice
is an office-based, nonsurgical practice committed
to the care of a broad range of musculoskeletal
injuries and conditions.
Dr. Gimre is certified by the American Board of Family Physicians, and has earned a Certificate
of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine through
the American Board of Family Practice. He is also
a member of the American Medical Society for Sports
Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
