John
L. Andreshak, M.D. earned his Bachelor
of Science degree in chemistry at the United States
Air Force Academy in Colorado, and his medical degree
from the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Andreshak completed
his internship and orthopaedic residency at Loyola
University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship
in spine surgery at the Mayo Clinic combining both
orthopaedic and neurosurgical techniques. Dr. Andreshak
is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic
Surgery.
Before joining OAD Orthopaedics in 2002, Dr. Andreshak
served as a staff physician in the United States Air
Force. He served as chief of the orthopaedic spine
service, vice chairman of the department of orthopaedic
surgery, and was the Air Force orthopaedic spine consultant
to the Department of Defense's Centers of Excellence
initiative. He specializes in the medical and surgical
treatment of neck and back disorders, including microscopic
surgery and reconstructive surgery of the cervical
and lumbar spines.
